Mark F. Wheeler

Mr. Wheeler joined Central Bank of Jefferson County in April 2015 as its President. He is responsible for all aspects of the bank in the Louisville metropolitan area, including commercial banking, commercial real estate, private banking, branch banking, and other areas. Prior to joining Central Bank of Jefferson County, Mr. Wheeler joined PT Development, Inc., now known as Confluent Health LLC, as its Chief Financial Officer in January 2014. He was responsible for all financial aspects of the company including accounting, insurance mergers and acquisitions, and other general corporate matters.

Preceding his position at Confluent Health, Mr. Wheeler was U.S. Bank’s Executive Vice President and Regional Chairman, as its highest ranking executive in the Louisville market. He also had responsibility for commercial banking in the Louisville, Nashville, Dayton, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Akron, and Columbus markets including U.S. Bank’s national professional sports business. Until he left U.S. Bank, Mr. Wheeler had been in the banking industry for 33 years. Prior to joining U.S. Bank, he was Senior Vice President and Manager of National Corporate Banking for PNC Bank, which included the Kentucky region.

Mr. Wheeler’s current community involvement includes being a member of the following boards: Lincoln Heritage-Boy Scouts; GLI, Inc.; Louisville Zoo Foundation; Fund for the Arts (Chairman of the 2014 Fund for the Arts Campaign); Thornton Oil Corporation; The Housing Partnership; University of Louisville Overseers, BDS Management Group, Inc.; and E-town Motel Associates, LLC. His past community involvement includes The Kentucky Derby Festival; The Louisville Bankcorp, Inc. (now Metro Bank); Downtown Development, Inc.; and the administration committee for Our Lady of Lourdes.

Mr. Wheeler is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration – Finance degree in 1981. He and his wife, Michelle, have two children.
