Mr. Vogt is an accomplished and experienced leader with over 20 years of experience, and excels in providing vision, integrity, and drive throughout the organization. Mr. Vogt has served as the President of Galen College of Nursing since 2004. Since becoming president, Mr. Vogt has guided a significant expansion of nursing academic programs, building modern learning environments and pioneering innovative pathways for entering the nursing profession. The institution officially became Galen College of Nursing in 2005, with the establishment of an Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program at the Florida and Kentucky campuses. In 2007, Mr. Vogt expanded the College footprint with the establishment Galen's first new campus in 17 years in Cincinnati. In 2008 Galen became the first private nursing program permitted to offer associate degree nursing education in the state of Texas. In 2014 Galen began to offer Bachelors degrees in nursing. Mr. Vogt has remained committed to quality outcomes, growth, and forward-thinking at Galen, all while ensuring that the students receive a positive experience in a contemporary learning environment.
He is responsible for leading and setting Galen on a path of continuous improvements and innovation. As a result, the College proudly maintains a reputation of quality in the community for graduating competent and caring nurses.
Prior to joining Galen, Mr. Vogt was Chief Operating Officer of a private investment group specializing in education. Mr. Vogt also served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of a $1.5 billion financial banking institution. Early in his career, Mr. Vogt was employed by a "Big Four" public accounting firm as a certified public accountant and provided accounting, securities, and consulting services to a wide array of clients. Mr. Vogt received his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Business Administration from Bellarmine University, in Louisville, Kentucky.
