Ms. Dwyer, who has been with the College since 2005, is responsible for providing leadership in operations at the main and branch campuses, ensuring the multi-state College is compliant with all state and federal regulatory agency guidelines, and for continuous quality improvement efforts. This includes accreditation, self-studies, annual reports, and site visits. She has been with the College for over nine years in a variety of capacities, and has experience in accreditation, auditing, auxiliary services, compliance, financial aid, institutional effectiveness, operations, policy development and interpretation, publications, registrar services, risk management, and strategic planning. Ms. Dwyer began her role as Vice President of Operations in January 2013. She is currently leading the College in implementing online services for students enrolled in the nursing programs, and expanding nationally beyond the College’s current states of operation.
In her previous role as the Director of Regulatory Affairs and Compliance, Ms. Dwyer successfully led the College in obtaining regional accreditation with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges; establishing a new campus in Cincinnati, Ohio; and achieving reaffirmation of national accreditation with the Council on Occupational Education, in addition to maintaining excellent relationships with all regulatory bodies. Throughout her eight year tenure in this role, Galen remained in good standing with no restrictions or conditions imposed by any agency. Ms. Dwyer is responsible for the creation of the Compliance department at Galen and establishing numerous internal controls and operational infrastructure designed to strengthen the College's services and programs. She is certified by the Council on Occupational Education as an Accreditation Visiting Team Member and a Candidate/Substantive Change Visiting Team Member. Ms. Dwyer is a graduate of the University of Kentucky, and a graduate of the Louisville chapter of SOAR, a professional development and advancement program for high potential women. Prior to her employment at Galen, Ms. Dwyer worked in the behavioral health field.
