The Galen online library includes most of the items found in a large physical library, but with the benefit of being able to be viewed by multiple students at one time and never being out of circulation, or off the shelf, when another student needs it.

The Scientific and Medical Art (SMART) Imagebase database has been added to Galen's Online Library Collection!

The Scientific and Medical ART (SMART) Imagebase from EBSCO is a searchable database of 20,000+ professional quality illustrations and animations. Subjects covered include anatomy, physiology, surgery, diseases, conditions, trauma, embryology, histology, and many other health science topics.

SMART Imagebase licensing allows users to view and download images for educational, non-commercial use in lectures, presentations, slide shows, web sites and more. Images can be used in PowerPoint™ shows, handouts, poster sessions, user-produced interactive Flash animations, and other media.
