LOUISVILLE, Ky., March 13, 2013 - - -Galen College of Nursing’s board member Dr. James B. Appleberry has been appointed to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation National Advisory Council. The Council is comprised of current leaders in the nursing profession that select future fellows across the United States to provide leadership at the local, state and federal level.
Dr. Appleberry is the second member of Galen’s board to be appointed to this prestigious role. Dr. Shirley Chater, RN, FAAN, who still serves on the Galen board of directors, served on the Foundation’s board until her retirement in September 2012.
