3-Year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
For those new to nursing wanting to become a Registered Nurse (RN).
The innovative and flexible design of the 3-Year BSN permits students to be accepted directly into the nursing program upon acceptance into the College. Galen’s BSN program will prepare you for your Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in just 3 years versus a traditional BSN program.
Course content progresses from simple to complex, and individual to family to community, culminating in a transition to professional nursing practice course in the final session of the program, preparing you to practice with confidence, for a rewarding career in nursing.
This nursing degree program is offered at our Louisville and San Antonio campuses.
Online Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN to BSN)
For those RN’s with their Associate Degree in Nursing, wanting to earn their BSN.
This nursing degree program is an online program. Currently the program is available to residents of Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia. We are adding states on a regular basis so please check back frequently!
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
For those new to nursing, interested in becoming a Registered Nurse.
The Associate Degree in Nursing program is designed for those who are new to nursing and seeking to become a Registered Nurse (RN). This program’s curriculum includes extensive clinical experiences and hands-on learning earlier in the curriculum than many other schools.Most students choose the ADN program at Galen because of our nursing education only focus. Hands-on learning, early in the program with general education alongside the nursing curriculum also allows our students to prepare for a rewarding career in nursing in as few as 24 months.
This nursing degree program is offered at our Cincinnati, Louisville and Tampa Bay campuses.
Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse to Associate Degree in Nursing (LPN/LVN to ADN Bridge)
For LPN's/LVN's who want to become Registered Nurses, we offer LPN to ADN Bridge and LVN to ADN Bridge options for your continued education and professional growth.
The term LVN is used in Texas and California, while LPN is used throughout the rest of the United States.
The LVN to ADN Bridge program is offered at our San Antonio campus. The LPN to ADN Bridge program is offered at our Louisville and Tampa Bay campuses. This program is also available at our Cincinnati campus, however here, we call it the "Advanced Standing (LPN to ADN Option)".
Practical Nursing (PN) | Vocational Nursing (VN)
For those new to nursing, interested in becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). The term LVN is used in Texas and California, while LPN is used throughout the rest of the United States.
Becoming an LPN/LVN is a great way to get into a high-demand, rewarding career. LVNs/LVNs land in a list of occupations poised for growth between 2012 and 2022*, at a higher rate even than registered nursing. As an indispensable member of the patient-care team, LPNs/LVNs communicate with patients, reporting back status to the team, assist in developing a plan of care, and provide patient care under the supervision of an RN or physician. It’s an exciting time to join the healthcare field as demand for quality and compassionate healthcare continues to grow.
The Practical Nursing (PN) program is offered at our Louisville or Tampa Bay campuses. The Vocational Nursing (VN) program is offered at our San Antonio Campus.
