Student Services

Our people make the difference.

A superior support system is the foundation of our program and is integral to our students’ success.  Even though you’re working online, you are never alone.  From day one, everyone here is in your corner and wants you to succeed.  We know that getting your BSN isn’t something to be taken lightly.  There can be real hurdles:  you are working; you may not have been in school for a while; you may never have taken an online course; you have other obligations; maybe a family.  Programs that don’t recognize real life – that expect you to jump in and start swimming alone -- are less than realistic.  We are with you every step of the way.

An Enrollment Counselor will clearly outline what you need to do to get started with professional, straight-forward communication, and will help you throughout the process.  They make getting started easier and less intimidating.  They will see you through into your first course and make sure you are settled and ready to go.

You will be assigned a Student Support Liaison who will be your personal cheerleader throughout the program, making sure you’re never stuck or in need.  Count on consistent outreach, motivation, study tips and regular “check-in”, starting with a Planning Session before your first course starts to make sure you are comfortable in our online classroom and understand how to proceed.

Our Faculty are highly engaged and accessible.  They are quick to respond and dedicated to you and making sure you understand the material being taught.  Our students tell us that no matter the questions they have, they are always there for them, whether by phone, email, webchat or video conference.

Special Accommodations (Students with Disabilities)

Galen provides accessibility and support to individuals with disabilities. We comply with all state and federal laws. Applicants and students who would like to request an accommodation may do so by contacting the Section 504/Title IX Coordinator.

Any individual who has a concern about an accommodation, or about discrimination or harassment based on a disability, should report his or her concern using the procedures described in Galen’s Equal Opportunity, Discrimination, and Harassment Policy.
