Online RN to BSN
12 Months (based on credit transfer)
For those RN’s with their Associate Degree in Nursing, wanting to earn their Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Why: The industry in which nurses work is changing. Nearly half of hospitals and healthcare providers require new hires to hold a BSN and to participate in leadership, policy and quality improvement decisions. The Institute of Medicine is calling for 80% of nurses to hold a BSN by 2020. The Galen Online RN to BSN program aims to balance the registered nurse's needs while assisting them in meeting new industry demands.
What: We custom-built our program's online nursing courses with Galen educational leaders as well as national and regional experts. We offer the latest in online educational technology, mobility and design.
Where: Currently the program is available to residents of Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia. Because distance education authorization requirements vary by state, the program may not be available in all states. In order to enroll and continue enrollment in the program, students in the online RN to BSN program must remain a resident of a state in which Galen has all necessary approvals. We are regularly pursuing additional approvals, so please contact our Admissions team for questions related to your specific state. This information is current at the time of publication.
The Online RN to BSN at Galen College of Nursing is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (http://www.aacn.nche.edu/ccne-accreditation).
