Nursing Admissions
Galen College of Nursing Admissions
Nursing school enrollment at Galen College of Nursing is currently underway. Our curriculum is focused solely on nursing education for students who want to become Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN) and Registered Nurses (RN). As one of the largest private nursing schools in the U.S., we have the resources and support students need to become nurses who’ll provide exceptional direct care in a variety of settings.
When our students graduate, they will be well prepared to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) (NCLEX). Galen helps students become high quality healthcare providers ready to enter the workforce as professional nurses.
Galen has campuses in Cincinnati, Ohio; Louisville, Kentucky; San Antonio, Texas, and Tampa Bay, Florida.
Nursing School Admissions Requirements
Admission to Galen College of Nursing is selective and based upon available facilities and resources in the community and within the nursing school itself. Applicants must:
- Be able to communicate effectively in English.
- Be a high school graduate or hold a GED.
Nursing School Pre-Admissions
- Submit applicable ACT/SAT scores (19 ACT or 1350 SAT) from within the last five years,
- Or schedule to take—and pass—Galen’s pre-admission test. (Non-refundable testing fee is $50.)
Galen’s pre-admission test is the PAX PN for new nursing students or PAX RN for current LPNs. If you’ve taken this test within the last five years, you might be exempt from testing for Galen.
