About Online Nursing Courses

Galen’s online nursing classes use multimedia tools such as Flash-driven interactive presentations, instructional videos, web pages and downloadable content to deliver course lesson material. Many of Galen’s online nursing education courses now feature our new Learning Media Toolbar which empower students to choose the digital medium that fits their needs.

In addition to viewing the interactive Flash presentation, students can watch the mobile video version, the mobile compatible webpage version or download the content as MP3 audio or printable PDF documents. With all of these delivery options, students can learn anytime and anywhere.

As part of the online nursing education experience, students interact with their instructors and classmates through participation in threaded asynchronous discussions throughout the course. Students also have access to course e-mail, course announcements, instant messaging, online chat and other modern e-learning tools to create a rich, dynamic, and interactive online learning experience.

If you’ve never taken online classes before but would like to learn more, Galen is here to help you get started. We have developed a robust online student orientation process designed to prepare you for online learning. In addition, students have access to 24/7 technical support. We have a dedicated online team to assist students throughout their program of study and ensure a positive learning experience.

As a Galen RN student, many of your required nursing courses and general education courses are offered online. Much of your registered nursing degree can be completed from the comfort of your own home or any location where you have Internet access. There will be times when you’ll still be required to attend the ground campus or other designated areas for proctored exams, as well as certain clinical and lab components.
