Galen Self-Help (students)

With Office 365, students now have two separate accounts:
Office 365 email account: This is used for Galen Student Email. Use Microsoft Outlook Web App to view and send email from your Galen email account at or using the same user name and password. In Office 365 you will not see our logo, but Galen still administers this account.

Microsoft OneDrive is the one place for everything in your life. Get OneDrive on all of your devices and access your photos, videos, documents and more from almost anywhere. Plus, get 7 GB when you sign up.

If you already have a SkyDrive account – then login normally. You can create a OneDrive account at the login screen with any Microsoft email account, including your Galen email (Microsoft Office 365) account.

Note that Galen cannot administer this account. As a result, we cannot reset your OneDrive account password. To reset your OneDrive account password, please go here:

Upgrades needed to run Office 365
If you use Internet Explorer 7 or earlier, you will need to upgrade to a newer version of Internet Explorer. To find out what version of internet explorer you have click on “Help” at the top then on the drop down menu click “about Internet Explorer”.

Please Clear Your Cache!
You may experience problems accessing your Galen Student Email account. If so, you will need to delete your browser’s history, also known as “clearing your cache”. Since everyone uses different browsers, we have consolidated the most popular browsers and directions on how to delete histories/clear caches.

Microsoft Internet Explorer: On the menu bar, click on Tools then select Internet Options. In the General Tab under Browsing History, click on the “Delete” button. A new box appears. Make sure Cookies and History are checked. Click Delete. Click OK. Restart Internet Explorer.

Mozilla Firefox: Click on Tools, then Clear Recent History. Select Browsing & Download History, Cookies, Cache and Active Logins. Click Clear Now. Restart Firefox.

Google Chrome: Click on the Menu icon located at the top-right side of the browser and then select history. Click on the “Clear all browsing data” button at the top. A new box appears. Make sure the first 4 boxes are checked. Click on the “Clear browsing data” button. Restart Chrome.

Safari: Click on History, then Clear History and then click Clear. Restart Safari.

There are two different types of login access: One is for the faculty and staff; the other is for the student. Make sure you are logging into the correct portal.

If you forgot your password, please click on the “Forgot your password?” link on the main login page. Enter your username and e-mail address and click submit. Your login information will be sent to the e-mail address on file.

How to Forward Student E-mail


If you forward your Galen e-mail to a personal address, you may find e-mail from Galen College in the spam or junk folder. Whitelisting is a solution that tells your email program (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) that mail from is not spam. To do this you need to add the Galen College sender’s email address to a “whitelist”.
